NAFTA, please don't take my job away...

This is an interesting critique of NAFTA. It talks about how the promises of NAFTA, such as increased job growth due to increased demand resulting from relaxed trade barriers with Mexico and Canada and higher wages for Mexicans and Canadians because of overall improved economic conditions, were bogus justifications that never materialized. I have long been suspicious of the ability of free trade agreements to do anything besides allow corporations to get cheaper labor and raw materials. Hmmm.
