Yahoo! News - HBO Ready to Bury 'Six Feet'

First Bush wins again, now this

It appears that Alan Ball is ready to put the nails in the coffin of my favorite show, Six Feet Under. How sad. It was excellent in the first season, insanely creative and ridiculously overly dramatic in the second, took a powder in the third, and came back with a vengeance in the fourth. I can only hope that the fifth season makes it all worthwhile. Too bad it never gained the same popular following as the Sopranos. I'm not into that show at all, and I've always thought SFU was misunderstood. And mislabeled as a comedy. No one expects a comedy to be about a funeral home in Los Angeles. And it certainly wasn't a traditional comedy show in any sense. But it is good.
