Constrained Choices


I am sitting at a table with Lu and John, during the recap for the SACOG Master Transportation Plan 2030 workshop.

I've noticed that central Sacramentans are very hostile to HOV lanes. I find this interesting, because HOV lanes have more benefits than reducing commute times, and those other benefits (fewer single-occupancy vehicles, improved air quality) are of greater social benefit.

Aside from that, Sacto citizens are into bus-rapid transit and light rail.
