Marcos Breton, soothsayer

Recently, someone noted that Monsieur Breton is no longer exclusively a sports columnist. I am glad that he is writing on more topics; I have thoroughly enjoyed many of his recent columns. Today's missive on the challenges faced by Sacramento's less-fortunate residents, a profile of two women from the 'hood who are succeeding in the face of tremendous social obstacles, is no different. I like that he is attentive to issues of race, class, education and faith. He also acknowledges the role of community support in these students' success.
