Is it worth it?

The Capitol Corridor is setting aside a separate train for travel to this year's Stitches West. There are plenty of goodies that go along with the Stitch n' Ride ticket, including guaranteed seating, coffee (a necessity for the 7:50AM departure), a bag of swag, and the opportunity to win giveaways. The cost for this train is $56 roundtrip.

I don't have many friends who knit anymore, so I'd be flying solo (unless Savvy's interested). I was planning to go to SF for the remainder of the weekend, since I haven't seen some pals out there in ages, and my friend Michelle's student film is in a festival that Sunday.

My dilemma is this: the train ticket is a roundtrip and returns to Sac on Saturday night. I don't want to go all the way back to Sacramento until Sunday. So I've got to pay for a half a train ride (more expensive than the usual) that I won't be using.
